The journey
Seven steps. From application to arrival.
The journey from application to your first day teaching in a classroom in Ho Chi Minh, Hanoi, Bangkok or Seoul is more structured than most teachers expect — and a lot lighter on bureaucracy than you might fear. NUPAF runs every step on your behalf.
Most placements complete in eight to twelve weeks from initial application. Some are faster. The longest single step is usually the visa coordination, which we handle entirely. Your job is to apply, interview, and pack.

Video consultation.
A 30-minute one-to-one with a NUPAF UK consultant, followed by a joint session with our in-country team. Honest conversation about your motivations, the realities of moving abroad, and what each destination actually looks like day-to-day.

Role match.
Three to five live vacancies that fit your profile, each with school details, location, salary range, accommodation, and curriculum framework. You decide which to pursue. We facilitate every interview from there.

DBS & safeguarding.
DBS verified, international background check completed, and four mandatory safeguarding training modules finished via your secure portal. Every NUPAF educator clears the same standard. No exceptions.

Contract agreed.
You become a NUPAF employee in-country — we handle payroll, local income tax, social contributions and any HR matters that arise. The school you teach at gets a teacher; you get a complete operational layer behind you.

Visa application.
The visa process is the part most teachers worry about, and the part we handle most heavily. This can often be completed in country. Our in-country teams have deep knowledge of working with immigration authorities in every destination — the timelines, paperwork and legalisations are all run on your behalf.

Arrival & mentorship.
You arrive into a structure, not a void. Your local contact meets you on day one. Temporary accomodation ready, bank account will be sorted. The first day at school is a normal first day, not a logistics emergency.

If you don't already hold a teaching qualification, NUPAF guides you through a recognised TEFL programme that can be completed before or alongside your placement.
Mentor from day one
An experienced teacher already placed in your destination, providing weekly check-ins for three months, then monthly through your first year.
Referral commission
Earn commission for every educator you successfully refer to NUPAF — paid promptly on confirmed placement.
Mentor programme

Every NUPAF educator is matched to a dedicated mentor before arrival — an experienced teacher already placed in your destination country, or a member of the NUPAF Central team.

- or QTS, PGCE, BEd, or recognised teaching qualification
